Xtreme HUCI 6500 PLUS - Firmware Update Help

Hello,

I'm looking for some help in getting started and getting my satellite system up and running. I'm hoping that I can run into some Xtreme / Kaon owners that can point me in the right direction in helping me update my system with som pointers on how to do this correctly.

I have an Xtreme HUCI 6500 PLUS

with these specs:

Last Update May 09, 2003
S/W: V02.55.00
H/W: V13.42.6D
Loader: V01.00.07
PVR: 1.5.4

I understand that my loader and firmware are outdated and need to be changed. I've found this website: http://www.mantraandy.com/kaon-xtreme.htm

(btw if I'm breaking a site rule - I read them - please edit my post and notify me of my offense) How would one go about updating my system? I must buy a null cable to connect my computer to the Box? I'm confused how this works.

Since I'm very new to this (fast learner though) is there a howto that I can't seem to find, out there for me to read?
