It's a forest area (Konstancin-Jeziorna) just due south of Warsaw, literally a 15 min. ride away. Unfortunately there is a complete ban on chopping down trees there, even for construction purposes (the city council goes bonkers every time someone files for even a single tree to "get the axe")...

I recently visited and it seems like everything has been given a black paint job and there might have been a converter change as well on the big dish:

Many thanks, for a second I was worried that there were different-looking versions out there, like a 2012 model, an earlier one, etc.

Just looking at some photos I see that some have an open card slot in the middle of the right side, whereas some have a hidden latch in the bottom-right side that opens up to reveal the slot. Are those different versions of the 890?

Where is the N model manufactured, also China? I believe I read about some issues with the R model, but I'm not sure if this was specifically due to the model itself or just run-of-the-mill bad luck with a given box. But for a while it did seem like people were specifically ordering the 890C as...

Just out of curiosity, where is the Z version manufactured?

The dish has seen better days, and the converter has been replaced since, but just in case I run into any signal issues I'd like to know what my options are in getting something top-of-the-range for this type of dish.

Putting the newest 895 aside, how does the 595 compare with the 890? Does anybody know if they are identical in terms of tuner sensitivity?

Let me just add that it's a prime focus dish, not off-set.

What is currently the top quad-LNB for "squeezing" the most out of a signal? This might make the difference between receiving some channels and not getting them at all (or have the picture breaking up), so I'm willing to invest in something decent.

Any other reason why Sky would implement 1080p in its newest digibox?

On a side note, has anyone tried out this decoder in a "fringe" area? Is the tuner sensitivity on par with the slightly older DRX890?

Not sure about other countries in Europe, but in Poland Canal+/Cyfra+ are much more likely to show Arsenal live than any other team (unless another BIG game is on at the same time - very unlikely). I'll wait until the season starts and then post how much coverage they are giving to 3pm kick-off...

Is there a general consensus that the "C" model is the best one to get, or does it make absolutely no difference?
