My own pet theory is that the Jetstream has been much further south than normal for the last couple of months. This has coincided with a prolonged period of wet and windy weather that Spain has suffered - very unusual for the South of Spain. I think this unusual positioning (over northern Africa...

Assuming you are asking me, Henri :-
A 1.8m Prodelin offset fibre, which is giving me similar results to some local 2.4m PF setups
Ignore the LNB and single cable, as this was just in the early setting up phase. It now has an Invacom Quatro feeding into a Triax cascade system to 20 apartments
This is the Freesat setup transponder. All Freesat boxes lock on to this, to verify postcodes and assign the appropriate default BBC and ITV regional channels for your area. Without lock, a Freesat box will fail in the setup process, and remove all previous channels, if any.
I often recommend to...
For the past few months here in SE Spain, I have been seeing massive fluctuations in signal level every few days.
Today, for instance, is excellent. I am just about on the verge of seeing BBC1 HD at 4.00pm in the afternoon. This is unheard of during the summer here.
A few days ago, I was...
The gilbertini fh/c120 combo (all from ebay) put about 5-10% extra on my quality readings, and as its shared between 19 apartments, it was worth every penny. I have tried a Raven/CM feedhorn, which is about twice the price but was less successful for me, so its going back on ebay. There is a...
I am assuming that the Tecatel is an offset. If so, can I recommend that you try the Gilbertini universal feedhorn with an Invacom C120 LNB. It may make a significant difference, as it did on my 1.8 Prodelin. A Humax receiver would also help considerably.
That 35% increase in dish width is actually giving you about 70% increase in dish surface area. So I would say that if you are receiving something on your existing dish, then the probability of receiving a solid and reliable signal is quite good. Anyway thats the theory, lets hope there is...
I am a bit further south, but I've noticed the same thing over the last 2 days - also 10994H (ITV regions). Although either side of them 10964H and 11053H are as normal. I thought it was my LNB at first, then saw something similar on another dish. I used BBC1 HD Wales for the same reason, but...
It's obvious that the signal has improved a lot over the last week, but looking back over the last 6 months or so using your graphs, it seems to me that, visually, the 2E signal has become more stable. There are less severe peaks and troughs, and the 2E signal line now looks a lot flatter, and...
The same for me. If you follow the link from Huevos in Post 73, you will see the visual confirmation. You just need to chnge the number of days at the end of the link to step backwards in time (if only we could !).
I wouldnt say its an easy catch, but it is at the very bottom end of Mojacar where it tails off. You are right though, everybody in the Villaricos/Garrucha/Mojacar/Turre/Vera area has gone for a 1.8 and are quite happy with the results. The guy who put the 2.4 in, couldnt get anything with a...
