    Even before considering buying a motor, the first question is how much of the Clark belt is visible at your intended installation point? Ideally, you should be able to go from approximately 30 West to 39 East (or maybe even 42 East for Turksat).

    Can't record on hd

    What is the size of the disk? And more specifically what size partitions did you create on the disk? And even more importantly what type of file system did you create on the disk? No partition should be larger than about 700 GByte, and the file system type must be ext2 or, preferably, ext3.
