It is encouraging to read that a 2.7m laminas dish can receive the UK spot beam in the Canaries.
I would love to know what size dish would get back the spot beam here in Malaga, problem being no-one has big enough dishes here to try, also they are too expensive for trial and error.
There are...
I would be interested if there are any confirmed reports of which dish size would be required on the CDS? I am about 55KM east of Malaga airport in a place called La Viñuela, obviously, since the 'changeover' we have been without mainstream TV via 28.2e, so are relying on 27.5w for these...
I will shortly be taking delivery of a TM5402HD and a Dark Motor Superior, I currently have two fixed dishes (1.3m and 80cm) with 4 LNBs (28.2e, 26e, 19.2e and 13e) using 2 Diseqc switches to serve 2 TVs. I want to add a third motorised dish (1m) to the set up.
How do I set up the Technomate...
As an update, SES Astra have announced the launch date of the Astra 2E satellite to be July 2013 being operational in September 2013, so this is when I need to be set up by.
So it is looking likely that the choice seems to be between the DrHD 15/16 or the Technomate 5402HD.
They are a similar price so which would be better? I need to add my clines as well as BISS decoding.
I am drawn to the TM as it seems more well known and is recommended by What Satellite.
Any...
Basically Ricky, a C-Line is like a URL, it connect your box via the internet to a remote server (usually somewhere like north Africa) which downloads the subscription card details to your box, then when you connect to a pay-channel i.e. Sky Sports it uploads the card details to the satellite...
I am in the same situation as you, due to the fact I am located near Malaga, a seperate small dish and the TM 5402HD seems the way to go. The Openbox S10 that I currently use does not seem to like scrambled PMT's so its out. As you say the relatively small investment of £140 may be worth it...
I have decoded 'MBC International' on 26E using BISS key with my S10, the channel had the $ scrambled sign and would not show anything, entered all the information including BISS in constant.cw and saved and exited, channel came up straight away.
So I know that BISS decoding does work with S10...
Okay so my next question is which is the best HD box to buy that will decode these channels? I am told that the Technomate 5402HD is very good?
Would that be a good choice?
Many thanks.
Does anyone know if the Openbox can open these channels? I have an S9 and S10 and live in Malaga area so looking for an alternative when the rest of Astra 1N moves to Astra 2E/F. My present set-up is as follows:
80cm and 1.3m dishes, 28.2E, 26E, 19.2E and 13E, S9 and S10, Sky+HD.
Obviously with...
