I wonder If I had any chance to pick anything on my 125x140 Famaval, 20 km eastwards of Cartagena. It's a fixed dish pointed to Astra 2 UK beam so I am not willing to focus it on the other orbital position.
Hi Folks,
It has been a loooong while since I posted last on this forum. Things have changed and I currently reside in southern Spain near Cartagena.
I was lucky enough that the previous owner left his Famaval 125x140 dish, so I immediately made use of it, in fact, it was already 28e aligned...
I have a bad feeling, that BBC is entirely aware of unauthorized access to their channels. They knew the extent of coverage offered by Astra 2D, then 1N as well as more popular workaround available on INT907. From the other hand do they afford to apply expensive changes into their DVB-T downlink...
Reports from Poland:
Slubice (near German border) 24/7 reception - all migrated transponders – Mabo offset 125x140cm
Poznan - 24/7 reception - all migrated transponders - Zyniewicz 200cm prime focus dish
Krakow – scrapes of signal (2 - 2,5 dB) on 11126V – 180cm prime focus
From the other hand, this is what they are expected to say. I remember years ago SKY retailer tried to convience me that UK beam covers only UK islands and nothing else. This was what they been told by SKY experts :)
If they haven't done it yet, that means that migration will not happen tonight nor even tomorrow night. I think it will happen sometime next week, however others e.g. ITV may do it earlier.
Some colleagues in various locations in Poland reported signal strength improvement. Those who did not receive anything yesterday, today report signals between 6-7,5 dB, what allows to show clear picture. Could SES be playing with signal strength?
