My Humax HDR-1010S has Died! It will not fully boot and just keeps looping back to 'starting'. The hard drive keeps cycling and grinding away. Thank you for your replies, I suspected as much. I personally have had no problems with this box. I take it that this will be a similar situation for any replacement for the Passion, and is common to all manufacturers. Its a shame that there is not a basic firmware for all models?

I see there have been no Passion (not +) updates since October 2010 Does that mean that Forec will not be releasing any more? Is there anywhere else that updated software can be downloaded?

I have the original Fortec Star Passion. When you switch on at the receiver, there is a delay before it starts to show channels. First you get the Fortec Star HD screen Then a clock screen with the following message. Updating Data... this process may take up to 2 minutes Skipping this...

Thanks Danit I deleted TP's from some eastern most satellites, and now get a full scan. I had to delete the TP's individually. Is there a way to delete them faster or to delete satellites which I will never pick up?

Somehow my reply of yesterday did not go? I did delete all the channels, and it stated no channels found. I then set factory defaults, then it showed channels even before 28e scanned. Is there any way to do a full reset?

I have the original Passion. It wont complete a search. I deleted all the channels then it would do a full search. Once that search was completed, I tried a search again. It stops at 22% on 11307/H/27500 (Astra 28) Anyone have an answer for this?
