I agree 100% - I would not buy another Fortec Star product because of the appalling support. There must be receivers all over the UK that can't receive Channel Four HD properly and FS are simply not interested. It's not value for money when it has to be binned because of a lack of manufacturer...

Just make sure you're using the most up-to-date firmware from Fortec's site. Try another drive (or USB stick) and if that works then your drive is maybe too slow or incompatible. My experience of the Passion+ is that it is fussy and erratic.

The intermittent freezing on C4 HD on the Passion+ seems to be widespread. An expert on another forum suggested to me that the transmission used a more advanced codec that should work if the receiver is specified correctly - like Freesat boxes. I have raised this with Fortec Star several times...
