Have just dug out my Vantage X221 TSCI after concentrating on my Triple Dragon for the past few years.
Patched it with the latest 14 May 09 software and away I went!
Had forgotten what a powerful , user friendly little receiver this was!!
This will do nicely until I upgrade to my HD Linux...
Its a question of quality.
My 1.2 mtr Channelmaster and heavy duty mount hasnt moved a millimetre.
Gibertini dishes are good as a budget dish but disecq isnt the most stable of mount in a strong wind environment unfortunately!
Completely unrelated to anything in the sat world I just wanted to shout it from the rooftops!!
I became a Dad this morning at 06:20hrs.
Liam Alexander was born weighing in at 8lbs 1 ounce.
Both mother and baby doing brilliantly and I have the biggest grin in the world!!!!!:-part3
Am running the 1.2 version of your system Frank with a TD (sigh!!) and a top spec Vantage (Big smile!!) Can whole heartedly recommend these Vantage receivers. The blind scan is second to none!
The var folder could be full.
On the TD if the var capacity rises to around 85% or above the receiver freezes periodically.
On your TDC software go into telnet and type df this will then show you your var folder useage.
If you have loaded several plug-ins / skins these will fill up your var...
Not to sway you or put you off. I am a TD owner myself but support of late does seem to be dropping off for this receiver.
Also it is falling behind in its ability to open up packages with the Diablo cam and other cheaper receivers being able to open up more at the mo.
That said what you do get...
