    Any lnb test reviews lately?

Hi DRO lnb's are normally the cheaper end lnb's, the local oscillator being a Dielectric Resonator Oscillator , it's not as stable on the oscillator as the PLL (Phase Locked Loop)but for most run of the mill KU band or C band downlinks they work fine, the PLL comes into it's own when single...

Wanted Looking for a 2 band Ku LNB with a WD75 flange

Hi if your looking to find a compatable LNB to work directly with a Technomate 5402, all thats needed is a universal LNBF( Old Name Marconi LNB) it covers Ku 10.7 -12.75 Ghz . if your problem is the dish has aWR75 feed horn, which cannot be easily taken out, then if your dish is 1 metre or...

Hi Folks Not sure if your aware, but SIS Live who provides the Ka capacity, is now finished it's been taken over by NEP Visions, they still carry on with the Ka band contact, which has 2 or more years to run with ITV, I think the satellite side of NEP is called NEP Links. I have seen 1 ident...

Not sure what your reading in level, John, but you will need about in 9.5 Bd in level, where their 2.4 's metre dish's at ITV regions will cope with 8 Db

John Think your carrier just above the Comms to trucks, is for ITN they I think may use their 5.6 metre Andrew dish to downlink at "K" band, the carrier can be much lower then as the dish gain is much greater, or it may be downlinked at Media City SIS Live's Dish Farm.

I do not think that the ITV regions use any form of scrambling, BISS is only a token type anyway. as they have no form of descrambling kit in the regions, as far as I know, not sure about ITN though

    Newsnet on Ka Band A

Hi s-band Had a look today ref any carriers around the 18.894 Ghz mark nothing that I can see at my site, even on the lowest threshold of the R&S, on any linear polarity. all looks very clear. In fact this section of the sky at 19.2 east looking K band has very little active. K band (18.2 -...

Hi s-band Yes that's better, understand your downconvertor, and why no filter, OK but I cannot see this carrier, but will change my front end during the coming week to get at better look at H, one of my other feeds has less other pol rejection, one we made.

    Newsnet on Ka Band A

Hi s-band If your Local Oscillator of your LNB is 17.250Ghz then the IF of your 17.894 signal will be about 644 Mhz the lowest broadcast off Astra 1L K band on H pol would be 1.05 Ghz, so it's not off the bird, I have looked at my site at narrow band down to 1Khz can see nothing like this at my...

    Newsnet on Ka Band A

Hi s-band I would say that the vertical signal you can see at18.794 is part of your block down convertor process showing up as low level image like old heterodyne receivers did. Otherwise it's as the satellite frequency plan. Satellite beacons as not the most reliable part of the space crafts...

Hi s-band It's beam 8 Italy(Ka 19) this can be strapped as beam 10 Ukraine, it's H polarity, so need to check your skew to reduce this to min Beam(s) 4(Ka 10 &12) are the uk ones. I can reduce this H carrier no problem, also can see it at high level like you if I cross polarise my feed but...
