Have you found the interference come through on the old system ? While there is a 5G mast some three miles from here, the local one isn't and nothing gets into the feed (at least not from the west horizon to about 50E where trees get in the way).

What size dish are you using ?

Latest local 5G interference observation - New kid on the 5G block appeared in the last week from a different tower very close to the other Westerly 5G tower thats been interfering for a very long time all ready.
This new frequency block's fundamentals stretch from 3760.75 to 3799.10 but the occasionally high energy bursts are having the usual destructive wash effects going on further up the band.
Blue trace = max levels recorded.
Yellow trace = activity within the 5G block.
White base trace = Normal noise floor and signal levels.

Are those results similar across the arc or just in the general direction of the mast ?

Is the new level an order of magnitude beyond what you saw before the first mast was installed ?

Luckily, if you want to call it that, iv'e tracked the latest interference from a different mast that is fairly close to the original troublesome one, further away in distance but has a slightly less obstructions in it's path to my gaff ... ie: both Westerly positioned from my gaff.
I have two other cell towers due South from me at the end of the street aprox 300mtrs away and just over two weeks ago there was a couple of riggers changing out three of the panels for new longer ones - i thought they might be an upgrade to 5G equipment but so far iv'e seen no 5G signals coming off the tower even when pointing directly at them with the 2.2mtr C band dish.

Oh what a load of poo. They are like invisible trees. Can you claim that they cause Covid and blow them up?

Latest grim news re: 5G destructive interference to C-band reception at my 2.2m install.
The latest 5G spewing tower is the one labeled 'A' in the graphic - it is only 300mtrs away at the bottom of the street in a southbound position from my 2.2 - in the last two weeks it has become active, one of it's antenna panels is pointed straight up towards me and when on a full power burst at it's frequency ~ 3.75/3.8GHz it's strong enough to completely swamp the Cband lnb, washing all the way up to the top of the normal 4.2GHz making normal Cband reception impossible. Destructive radiation from tower 'A' effectively obliterates any DX or fringe signals from about 50° East to 25°West. The other remaining active 5G towers 'B' , 'C' & 'D' operating at lower than 3.7GHz downwards but further away from my install still cause big broblems for DX'ing or fringe reception from 25° West to 71°West. My reception of the Extended range 4.5 to 4.8GHz does not suffer from the 5G destructive radiation so looks like i'll have to hope that the Extended C-band range will get populated more ?.....
Time to start thinking about how to re-configure the 2.2 PF install for a multi band Ext C / Ku / Ka / Extended Ku / lnb changer mod. ........ what a crap world we live in!

Seavey rotating LNB assembly for PF dish?
They might be available 2nd hand from the marine salvage men, I think I have seen one from them before?

My C band LNB is off the dish now and I am wondering whether to even bother putting it back on given the 5G malarkey...

Exactly my train of thought right now CJ , looking at my graphic i could do with moving house to somewhere in the bottom right of the pic so that all those 5G towers are at the back of me lol but that's never goung to happen . I'll expand the view to see what 5G stuff is lurking in the area below my picture, i would imagine it will be just as busy. Any fringe or low level signals in the normal 3.4 to 4.2GHz range now are out of the question in virtually any position on the arc from around 50°East to 70°West.
Do a Google CJ to show 5G active masts and coverage maps in your area-the one i did came back with all the major providers

I can easily get the 5G coverage maps up per mobile provider for my locality but not an location list of their masts?
Is there a website that lists the 5G masts?

Conversion to straightforward Ku-Band dish with Precision feed and C120 interface?
I have the length of the original feed arms for Ku-Band somewhere in a spec list if you need them?

Cheers MB, when i accept the fact that the C-band Dx capability for me is totally screwed now due to the wonderful 5G i will get around to doing the feed mod. I'll have to accept that there will be some signal path blockage to the reflector but not too much more than what's on the Cband lnb package at the moment. I'll more than likely load some kind of changer up on the 2.2 PF that will see 4.5 to 4.8GHz / Ka / Ku / Extended Ku - iv'e got plenty of bits and bobs to construct something, shame the weather is not very clever to be playing outside though.

This link gives you 5G mast & coverage info - enter your postcode or part postcode for a larger area map. Select different phone networks and tick the 5G icon for info within the area you have selected.

Interference at C-Band, whilst destructive can be reduced, but not with a dish so far above ground (unless a fence can be installed sufficiently far to obscure the tower).

Thank you for the link.

According to the map, EE have no 5G operational in the near vicinity but coverage starts about a mile away.
Vodaphone however have strong 5G coverage all around me.

I could not work out how to see the mast locations for the Vodaphone coverage, any chance of a screen grab to help please?
It seems the operators are not readily forthcoming about the locations of their 5G masts, presumably due to possible vandalism?

I recently read an online article that said planning consent had been relaxed allowing mobile networks to erect larger taller towers with less permissions to apply for?
Localish to me in Hamsey Green there was a huge 5G mast stuck up much to the annoyance of the locals.
