Today, at ~8:47 got first lock, that was 28,2*. But, of course, need lots of fine tuning. What, party tonight?! ;)

Perhaps you're going to need multi-LNB setup to receive both 2E (28.5) and 2F/2G (28.2) :)

Well - I know, I know - it'll be motorised. But for linear Ku on your El-over-Az mount, this means the requirement of an LNB skewer.
And that has potential for making the ultimate LNB-changer/skewer/rotator, with the added challenge of fitting it on a Gregorian!!
Optimal solution would be to somehow convert to a Cassegrain, and stick the LNB changer at the back of the dish.
But that's a project for the future, of course...

Come on, be fair! Let him have the party tonight!
Tomorrow he can make mutli-skewed, rotating LNB holder, with zoom in and zoom out capability:D

RimaNTSS,

I know you're currently thinking about LNBs, feedhorns etc.

But just to go back a few steps: How did you make the concrete for the platform?
Did you employ your garden variety cement mixer (and all the hand-shoveling and bag-carrrying that goes with it), or did you have a cement-truck come by?
There must be quiet a lot of concrete in there...

It's probably like that classic Simpsons episode when Homers rough as a badgers arse at the breakfast table and Bart asks him what happened the night before, que his memory of the night being shown like a black & white silent film with drinking at the start then at the halfway point a static card saying "Scene Missing" then it abruptly ends with "The End" titles lol

Yes, truck came behind the greenhouse and filled up about 5 m3 of cement, means about 12 tons.

Before I get motors and position sensors running, will use purely mechanical positioner, something like this. Position #1 is 28,2*E and position #2 is 23,5*E. IMG_20160807_193648 (Custom).jpg
Made elevation of the dish ~0* , it was easier in this position to finish tightening all screws and also installing heaters (of course I washed them before installation  ). All 8 of them have consumption of ~5kWt. o_O

Have You measured C/N on weak channels 28E ?
Did You catch any UK beam channel without second mirror.
At summer time I can not receive UK beam channels with 3M radiolink antenna (designed for 6.6 GHz).

No, did not do that. Dish was not finished (even segments were not fixed properly) and I did not want to start making measurements under such conditions.

Made couple of plates to fit on original flange of the waveguide. Through those plates will let tunable axis which will skew LNB and also be possible to adjust LNB closer/further to the SUB. Will try to make fork for C-band LNB and, if needed, will fix Ku-band LNB inside. I understand that at one time I will have ether C or Ku installed, but, can not figure out how to make mechanism for changing of the LNBs (I mean, LNB-changer).

I understand that @John , but this changer will make shadow effect in front of the SUB, and taking in account that SUB is relatively small than it will considerably decrease performance of the system. By now I've made this LNB turning mechanism. It is operated by hand from the back of the dish. But further I will attach motor (servo, Fibo, DiseqC 1,2 etc.).
