OK, it's the 2600, metal gear version, you can have it for £60 delivered, assuming you are in england.

Had a check and it's left/right play

I've no idea where? Between tube and motor axis, or is it axis play (but I find it hard to imagine, that that could be only left/right)?

I'm no expert nor have much knowledge of these issues, other than the motor tube moves left /right , right left . The centre bolt is as tight as it will go . Differing views on here about up/down , left right play backlash etc.

The thing I was hinting at:
When you remove the tube from the axis, by unscrewing the screw that goes through the tube, a square axis appears.
Is the backlash in that axis (so inside the motor)? Or is the fixing between the tube and the axis causing the play?

Ok to that I don't know, I never removed the tube just made sure the bolt was tight as , and checked which direction the play was.
Then followed this. moteck_backlash_2.jpg

I never took it down just did it in situ.

Is the backlash in that axis (so inside the motor)? Or is the fixing between the tube and the axis causing the play?

If I take it down next time yo check , how can I correct backlash in the axis or the tube/axis

The screws 1,2,3 procedure are for motor axis backlash.

Tube vs axis movement: I believe I've seen that problem reported once on the internet, IIRC. It must be filled with something, I guess. As I wrote before: no experience with it myself.
