And this part is already a Tx part ?
Yes, the lower part is the TX LO and up-converter and the upper part the driver stages

Some water leak inside…
As John said, it is probably recoverable.

This one was fine after drying and careful cleaning. There was some track erosion around the 2nd LNA bias area but it was easily repaired. The TX board was also usable once cleaned.

Very good,
For future reference, could you please take a pic of all the units end view, the two coax plug entries, along with the frequency coverage label and also which is the FSS-L or BSS-L type. Thanks.

No, they just canceled the order and refunded the money.
I did not have any contact with them.
File a complaint. They have had your money for how many days ?

they've refunded him, why would he complain - what would be the outcome?

I was the one that found it for sale, page 1 of this thread, Satspot then endorsed the same seller a couple of posts later as being north and south of the border, presumably for exise, shipping and promotional reasons above other businesses.
Their profile

  • Registered as a business seller
  • eBay Top-rated seller:
    • One of eBay's most reputable sellers.
    • Consistently delivers outstanding customer service.
The product is currently claimed as being in stock, (apparently more than ten of them) though Zorrin has confirmed there are none.

How many others will have handed over 50 euros/£43.50 to be kept for a fortnight in their bank account ?

I never said it was a stock issue. I said that I had no communication with the seller.
The order had just been cancelled.
With the management of BUC commands for forum users and for me I did not have time to see.
But thank you to take care of me

Under no circumstances would I endorse any seller unless I’ve actually completed a transaction with them. I was merely pointing out the geographical location of a seller who has the item in question for sale.

What I am finding these days are sellers who are testing the demand for items prior to bidding for them on job lot auctions. Basically they are taking forward orders with payment from prospective clients BEFORE bidding on the auction. If they are successful none of the buyers are any the wiser. In this case possibly the bidder’s offer didn’t win the auction and hence the outcome.

Alternatively maybe one buyer placed a large order and exhausted the stock hoping to sell them on at a profit after reading the S Band chatter here. Who knows.

Perhaps what you have posted is true (S band chatter ?), though the seller still claims to have 'at least' ten units currently in stock, with an inventory of other items exceeding 40,000.

All very Al Capone

Most of these guys are surplus inventory resellers. My guess is the demand for the S Band Saorsat TV option never took off and someone was left holding the S Band LNB baby.

There is of course the infamous “digital aerial” that was on sale to receive the DTT alternative. My digital aerial (a wire coat hanger) is doing a fine job while the digital aerials are now falling off chimney pots and hanging by coax and unless you can physically see them hanging you won’t notice the difference in signal reception.

My feeling is if the seller is refunding non delivered orders it’s best to move on and look for another source.

I have to say that I've brought a few small items from Tekeir (once from their eBay store, their own website is usually cheaper) without any complaints with deliverly in all cases coming via next day courier (I live in Northern Ireland). However to simply cancel & refund a purchase on eBay without any explanation is definitely odd behaviour to say the least.

Here's the same Ka Band Saorsat LNB being sold on their website which at the time of posting is claimed to be in stock. Getting new Saorsat LNBs are definitely getting harder to come by.

It could be that you, being on the same piece of dry land means the free postage can be covered in the profit margin. Zorrin/France on the other hand.....

No explanation is inexcusable though which is why I said to file a report. Instant purchases of nothing impact on sellers that do have real stuff in their stores.

What do you think filing a report will achieve?
