Accidentally today. I came home from work and what a nightmare here:-doh 9 too high pole just front of my Prime focus. Cricket players seems to build a fence around the playing field. All signals 2-4 dB weaker than before and what will be then, when they put net also?
What a nightmare...

That's terrible! Are these temporary or permanent? What satellites are affected?

What's needed is a high power laser attachment for dishes ..
We could easily lop the tops off offending trees ..at a safe distance ....

...and what is best, tomorrow we have a finnish sat-dx:er meeting here in my Place (1st time ever) Our purpose will be find best possible C-band plate for circular channels. Well, these poles dont stop anything but makes however situation little bit harder.

But this might be good coincidence, because 10 enthusiast maybe find better trick to solve this huge problem than what I might myself..?

Keep us in the loop on this mate ..
Always like to hear of new ideas ..
Best we found so far are the Doktor of sat plate ...and Prides variation..
Both of which are 'tuned' ...and of course my own T plate ....which is very effective ..untuned thus wideband..

49E - 40.5W are all about 2-4 dB weaker than earlier. I need to raise dish upward at least 1m maybe more?

Found this sat to be a devil.....reading some of the posts it seems to vary a lot in reception and the last three posts of Chris1979 seem to indicate this.

Failed to lock a good few on 'R' frequencies and having setup on 3955 R 1500 Sayare TV with 11.1db on Technomate 5402 I expected a better result, an hour later 3955 R failed to appear with either EBSpro or CrazyScan using the TBS!.......will have another try later.

What the he*l....still pleased. :D
