Other satellites can move to 12.5 west after these new launches Eutelsat 7C & Eutelsat 5 west B,

This will allow Eutelsat 7A & Eutelsat 5 west A to move to new locations such as 12.5 west,

12WestA left 12.5W years ago -- 2016 to 36W as 36WestA. 2018 to 59E as 59A

More to the point what satellite will now move to 12.5 west & become Eutelsat 12 West C ?

Eutelsat 12 West B is running low on fuel re Eutelsat last evaluation 1st Qtr 2019
So it can go inclined by approx 0.5 degrees until a replacement satellite moves here.

Sorry should have clarified for those not in the UK. We have a General Election on the 12th of December and will SNGs all over the country at counts, so you usually see feeds on almost all the visible satellites from the UK from various networks, BBC, Sky, ITN, CNN etc.

Eutelsat 12 West B has left 12.5°W, drifting West. Passed 13°W already.
Probably the end-of-life orbit raising has started.
This satellite was launched in 2001 with planned lifetime of 12 years, not bad!
