No problems with the last post as such but you can make it simpler just by saying Ebay item 390102558876

Can't comment on that device.

I still think, as I suggested yesterday, you'd be better binning the Comag Receiver and going for a USB DVB-S Receiver.

And I see that rolfw agrees :)

I was not familiar with the Archos, but have just been reading about it - It seems to have a Scart Input, which means you can indeed bung the output of your Comag into it.

Whether you can use it "live" as a Monitor is unclear from the info I have found - looks like record and regurgitate to me.

I refer the Honourable Gentleman to the first line of my previous Post.

One for others to answer, I think :)

Your problem, is that not a lot of people use PC based solutions for viewing yet, hence the capabilities of this equipment presumably are unknown. You have to remember that whatever setup you use your laptop will be very busy processing the picture, so presumably it is at least XP based, but I agree with Gordon and Rolf a USB satellite receiver appears to be the line of least resistance

I have just seen a Luxor LCD TV in Asda and when I looked at the back it was powered with a 240/12 volt adapter, and the socket on the TV read 12 volt, so a regulated 12 volt car supply would be OK they are priced pretty reasonable too but I have never heard of the make,
