I know.
But I have had enough of working late after a long hot humid day.I feel worn out and ache all over,up and down ladders, in and out of air conditioned houses, driving in traffic etc its a hard life.

What ? if its not 2 storey houses then its 4-9 storey apartment blocks for us.2 of us can pull a 3m dish up 9 floors by rope no problem.but a 10 piece 4.2 ? choice of taking pieces up by the stairs(wont fit in the lift) or hiring a crane/fork lift which ups the price.i prefer a 2 piece 3.7m.

I have noticed increased signal levels on the vertical transponders this weekend, about 2% better.

This 2% improvement is over what? is it an improvement over what you have always had on Vertical transponders or since the problems started few weeks ago? What about horizontals? have you noticed any positive/negative activity on horizontal transponders?

I agree with you M8...I also noticed the signal improvement on my 3m last two evenings....It was unwatchable lately between 8-10 but last two evenings i get the occasional breakup but it is still watchable...

woud be interesting to have some more feedback from other parts of the island.

I find this conversation very interesting. So i want to make a hypothetical question.Do you think a 5 meter dish in pafos area will be able to bring down the vertical transporders ? Have you heard anything similar?

No chance....To my knowledge 2D vertical transponder is not present for eastern europen countries..My guess is Austria might me lucky with a 3.0m+ dish...
I am still waiting response from this thread..>> http://www.satellites.co.uk/php-bin/forum/showthread.php?t=76420

I've heard the same about rhodes. They receive the verticals with 3.10 ,but for the horizontals need 4.5 meters

After doing some work on three of my installations this evening i have come to believe the problem we have been experiencing on 2D lately has nothing to do with humidity or atmospheric activity....

ha what about al the hot place that pick up sky ..... dont think that happen as iceman said

and it is a deffinately NOT a power reduction on 2D... so what is it then ?
