I could be next door to the castle, but it wouldn't mean the signal would be stronger. I fact, if you are further south than me the signal should be stronger for you..

i get decent signal on that italian TP mux - and 17db on 5w - could it be my arc? or maybe something obstructing signal

I think it might be more to do with the fact that "scopus" is using an absolute top class spun aluminium dish and it is 1.3m diameter.

The extra 0.1m diameter compared to a 1.2m adds approximately 17% extra surface area to the dish face for gathering signal
In addition, Precision Antennas dishes have a very accurate parabolic profile.

The signal level for most of the UK is the same according to flysat for the Ku Europe beam from 3.0W.

It depends on the signal level used by the uplink crew on site, they have the option to increase/decrease the signal strength.
Discounting weather conditions on the day, somedays a 1.2m dish can lock a signal from 3.0W, other days no luck.

I have a lovely Precision Antennas 2.0m dish sitting 'ere doing nowt, begging for a good home at reasonable wad.
No planning permission required, it is on a mobile platform that is jacked up and immobilised when in service.

Three different rx sources for the signal grabs - Crazyscan / GTMedia GTCombo / Analyser.
Signal strength fluctuating here in North Notts, was at maximum at one time as shown on the analyser grab..... take your pic lol.

There wasnt really too much behind the scenes stuff on the Im A Celeb feed last night, it was a VT clock until 9pm and then maybe 10 seconds of Ant and Dec rehearsing their lines between breaks.

Not tonight MB lol - Our Mertle thought she would see if her phone could swim in the toilet bowl earlier on - unfortunately not, more expense
Yep i do like these new Combo interface and if they implement the firmware additions iv'e requested it should be a great favourite for the enthusiast

Hey John . Is that your 1.2m . I can't get a sniff . I do wonder why. If it was obstruction I wouldn't get the Italian TP so I think my dish might need a slight tweak for 3w or could it be lnb skew
