It has been a long time since I posted last (guilty of being a forum lurker:oops:)

I currently have a zone 2 dish up with 3 LNBS for 13e, 19e and 28e with 19e being the focal point.

I am wanting to swtich this for use with just 42e and 28e.
The plan is to center the dish on 42e and hang 28e off the side.
From memory I think 15 degrees was the max spacing on a 60cm dish so in theory it should work.

Has anybody done this before, or would know if in theory it will work?

Thanks

It should work but there might not be much margin for rain fade on 28.2e. As you can see on your own setup, the nine degree gap between 19e & 28.2e isn't huge on a zone 2, 14 degrees is only half as far again. Getting the 28.2e LNB secure in the optimum position could be an issue.

Yeah the rain fade is 'okay' at the minute.
I should hopefully get some time at the weekend to try the setup out.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
One of my Zone 2 dishes (I have 3 - one for 28E for the house Skybox, & 2 others pointed at various other sats) has the centre line LNB aimed at 39E and an off-set one for 28E for the dish farm system, and that seems to work quite well - so, as some of the main transponders on 42E are very strong in London (and stronger than those on 39E), I think that a similar dual feed system on a Zone 2 dish for 42E and 28E should work.

Thinking about the above, you could probably also add a 3rd LNB, off-set on the opposite side to the one for 28E, for 52E where there's often a lot of FTA sport, and so on, on very strong transponders - and thus should be receivable with that configuration :D.
