Bare with me, i seem to be all over the place at the mo looking at different sats evaluating this AV/Zin jobby.

I'm actually struggling with this bird at the moment CJ, no picture locks for me either. I'll have a micro tweek and try again

Anybody else knocking about in the UK can scan 43.1W for any sniff of a better signal. Footprint shows Europe gets the full whack of the beam but up here in North Nottinghamshire it's starting to get a bit thin

Hi - Never had much luck on this sat .... i,m getting the data ch ... 3805 V that
C.J gets in his scan earlier at 11.5 db.. no hint of any channel transponders though using 1.8 c.m.

Yep, it's doing very well. I can see the signal on the analyser & Iv'e just had a tweek for max but i am about just over half a dB short of the minimum lock of 5.5dB for lock.
A screen grab of received signal info would be helpful to see how much more the FS is getting.... is it being helped along by the southern UK location which shows a tad better strength ?? Certainly doing well from Sussex.

have you checked elevation when dish is at 43w ive had it before when dish is slewed over it pulls on king post, a good quality inclinometer and 4,5 inch 5mm pole for the 1.8 is a must imho

I've not done a scan on the 1.8 @blademedia The only one I have is from mid week and taken on the 2.4.

thanks its knocking the socks of the 1,8 channel master i will locate mine to suit ku/ka band make sure the 2.4 hits more c band

With some careful tuning last night - i got the data transponder up to 12.2 db ... but still not a hint of anything else ... think i,m too far north west for channels from this satellite ... the recently setup 2.4 will not get this sat either .. the view is mostly blocked by a building .

Thankfully , i think, there isn't a lot of content that i am missing out on. I'm just lowering the gear down to work on my motorised single feed H/V only job at the minute and then have another look at the tp's that i'm just below lock on

I think when I last looked it was about 10.8-11db with me

Well it's from between 40.5W and 45W... Unless there's another satellite lurking around.
