46.0ºE AzerSpace 1 / Africasat-1A scan.
Special one this for me:-
a) new sat to add to the list!
b) Where we are located ....never been able to lock a transponder on the Ku-Band Europe beam.

Really really pleased......especially as is C-Band.

Just locked it so when I have time will fine tune and hope for other frequencies.


Perhaps you can help me a little as to why the four frequencies scanned in show a polarization of 'H' when we know they are in fact 'V'.............I have read that for 'H' and 'V' scanning the the dialectric plate should be removed.....thanks.

A slightly earlier scan gave also 4025 H 1190 (again should be 'V').

The plate should be removed like you say for scanning linear polarity, else you get illumination on both probes (H and V). If there's no plate in there, then you just need to rotate the LNB 90 degrees.

indeed it seems they are channels from Amos 5 -- nice to have these now - hope they stay
they have always been out of reach for me at 17 East
good signal for me here on 1.8 cm -- 10.5 db

No lock on this transponder for me here ... only getting 8.4 db

Freq 4050 is stronger than 3730V. This screen shot is on 4050V. although 3750 V is showing a healthy 9.75 db.

The Indian channels have gone from ... 3730 V
and 4050 V 30000 .. (not listed on flysat)... is below lock for me here.
do you know if the channels are still there on 4050 v or have they perhaps moved to another sat ?
