Hi all. I was wondering if it is possible to recieve 9e, 13e, 19.2e and 28.2e on an 80 cm dish with multi lnb setup?
I live in the south east with a clear line of sight for all satellite listed. Is it doable?
I read somewhere that someone did it with a zone 2 dish so surely a triax td78 should do it with a 4 lnb holder.
I am just weighing up options before I decide on what to do
Thx all

Thx, I was wondering if it was a bit to far to stretch.
Do you reckon a triax td78 is a good choice of dish?

I got good results with those sats on a TD88 in north west Ireland last year, so, depending on where you are, a TD78 might do it.
Good luck!

I think the Triax TD 78 would cut it in your location, but spacing wise as satelliteman says thats something else! Remember also that the TD 78 isnt a true 80cm by any means, I suggest Technomates 80cm or Flaval or even my ISS 80cm Perforated dish.

The Technomate isn't a true 80cm either

True mate, but I seem to remember it being bigger than the TD 78 width wise, I see you own one, whats its actual reflector face width buddy? My ISS's actual face is 80cm tall & 73.8cm wide, cracking for multi LNB action.

71cm x 79cm. It's still much better than the zone 2 setup mind so I can't complain

Much easier to fit a Motor to your dish.. A good one is the Dark Motor about £49.. You are trying the almost impossible I know Ive tried. Its ok to get 13 19 16 ect bu from 9 to 28 is a big stretch. Its far easier to fit a motor.. It would be quicker and cheeper. All you need to find in Due south and your ref satellite to where you live. Lets say its 08west. you set up your dish to get the sat and put in a good Satelllite channels list into your reciever turn on usuals. and away you go..

In theory impossible, but a friend of mine in Kent got 0.8W to 28.2E on his 88cm dish with multiple lnbs (0.8W, 13E, 19.2E and 28.2E)!

I've got a Triax TD88 using a Triax multi bracket which covers 42°E to 13°E without much trouble. If you use a Triax bracket you'll probably need some mods done to the plastic LNB arm mounting to get the arc properly.

I've got 5W,0.8W,7E,13E,19E & 28E on my perforated 80cm ISS dish with 13E as the focus sat. A lot of peeps said I was comiting signal suicide by having 28E at just over a 15 degree offset, needless to say these people were idiots lol.

Thats some going especially considering the ISS 80 is a small 80cm dish ,its only 73cm by 80cm.

A 88 x 80 cm dish will be fine see illustrations below for 4 Lnb's 28.2 east,19.2 east. 13 east & 4.8 east,

So your proposed proposed set up will be ok in the UK,

9e, 13e, 19.2e and 28.2e you will either need a couple of narrow Lnb's for 9 east & 13 east or you can use a 4 degree mono block with a DiSEqC switch & a 2 way,
The monoblock goes to the 2 way switch >> 4 way DiSEqC switch.

Funny, was talking to a mate about "80cm" dish sizes the other day, they seem to range between 77,78,79cm in height & as little as 68cm wide & going up to a average of about 70cm wide tops.
