HI i need some advice, i have a dm500s with a motorised dish and also sky+ on another dish, is it possible to spilt the feed from the motorised dish with a ab switch so i can move the dm500 to another room ( when the wife wants to watch her stuff) and will it still control the dish? any advice would be good. Thanks

Should work, although there will be an insertion loss.

I use A/B switches extensively and the practical effect of inserting them is virtually nil, despite the theoretical losses.

v. chunky and robust, so I suspect the losses are small anyway.

Or you could use an SPS and then you wouldn't even need to switch anything. And if you are moving one box from one room to another (ie two boxes will never be connected at the same time) you could even use a splitter.

Or you could leave the Dreambox where it is and stream the video.
