2 weeks to go and il know? How do you know mate, there is no news what satellite they will broadcast on?

It will be on one of the satellites stationed at 7W alongside their current FTA SD channels that transmit from that position. After the launch of Nilesat 201 in a couple of weeks all the beams from that position will be known for the foreseeable future. The only unknown thing right now is how well the footprint of Nilesat 201 will illuminate Europe. Transponder power will be 110 watts (about 3x the power of Astra 2d) but currently there is no published footprint except the generic one at _http://www.nilesat.com.eg/satfootprint.htm

gary m8...if you can afford 6 new hd boxes,then you can afford a 2.4 cm and pick up badr 6 no probs..lol..

i think 26e will be ok on my 1.8 due to location mate been in talks with john, he has a 2.4m and gets very strong signal.

But its alot of work for me to move to 26E due to the wall blocking signal so im waiting to see what happens with 7W first

That would depend on the operator, but to give you an example Astra 3B launched on May 21st and it took until June 14th for it to go through testing, be moved to its final orbital slot and start to transmit some of the channels from the satellites it was to replace.

I wonder if they are allowed to subcontract the rights. If so you might see it on Orbit or Al Jazeera, or maybe even FTA on the Abu dhabi SD channels.

Anyway the season doesn't even start until the 14th so there's a whole month to go yet.

I read that they wont mate and that they wont be FTA either, as they are bringing out the new channels to broadcast it.

Be careful about buying non Humax IR receivers as there is word that the cards will not work in other receivers even if they are Irdeto capable. Until the cards can be tested then I would advise against purchasing anything.

I have held off on my new recievers for this reason.

Although I really want to use technomate as the supers have such strong tuners

What recievers are Humax IR receivers?

I cant find them online, just looking at prices encase that is indeed the case.

No tomorrow will be pricing, availability etc.
Until someone gets their hands on a card and tests it then you never know. But also a card may work in a certain receiver but not update the card so it may last a month and go off. Lots to consider.
