Yes its not in bad condition Evan, its still in my finds pouch lol, I will run it under the tap shortly and post it up, I find loads and not as keen on cleaning/looking at them as was when I first started, unless I see its not the run of the mill and might be worth a few £ lol.Looks very nice condition even with the dirt..
Presumably cleaned up now ..so what is it Martin ?
I am just going to get the correct positioner Alex, when the 1.8 goes dual axis the RC unit will handle it, maybe save messing modding it buy the correct positioner ?,Hi all,
I found a 12"(?) SuperJack IV in the garage today while unpacking - completely forgot I had it. The only issue is that it's has a potentiometer instead of an optical or a reed sensor. Had anyone done a conversion on one of these? I can't imagine it being very difficult to do but might save me some time.

They look like the motors from electric wheel chairs.Hi Evan, I got this motor today, nothing to with satellite but I am sure it could be used for something, this is quality made stuff I am unsure if they make actuators but certainly worth a look.

It looks like I am fixed up with actuators now Dave, and taking a close look at the mount it would be fine on a 2.4 at low level in a sheltered area and it also would be a shame to split it, so I will be putting it in storage for the big day,
A few more pictures of the actuators.

Martin,
If you have not yet placed your order with SSS for the SuperJack EZ-2000 positioner I think I might have a brand new one with remote control in the loft. Would you be interested in it as a trade for the Az/El mount that came with your Precision 1.5m dish?
Well that's good for you then Alex, save messing about and saves you a few pound, I know how tight money can be after a house move, I have just got back on my feet after 3 yrs, times was hard for 2 years nearly every penny I earned went into the house, you will get there pal all the best .Hi Martin,
Hm, I didn't realise that the EZ-2000 positioner could be used to drive a potentiometer based jack. Thankfully, I already have one in the garage - been using it for testing the 1224. Just as well, as I am running out of arms and legs to saw off to fund this hobby...

Sorry to tell , but the EZ-2000 is only for pulse counting according to the connections at the backside .Hi Martin,

Dave,
Thanks but I did mention I wont be selling it now, this mount is proper HD and I will be installing a 2.4 on it at some point, as for the positioner there only £44 pound new and piece of mind of a 12 month warranty, but thanks for the offer.
Hm, you're right. The text is on SSS's site is somewhat misleading.Sorry to tell , but the EZ-2000 is only for pulse counting according to the connections at the backside .
