Thought i would have a try here (northwest u.k.) for middle east beam - as i,v been fine tuning the setup on the 2.4 channel master ... didn,t expect much ..... but 1 DVB-S transponder has locked ..... the DVB-S2 8PSK ones are visible but are way too far below lock .. maybe an improvement when the fog lifts and the clouds clear ? ...

I remember when Amos 1 was launched the signals were analogue and I picked up a test card for one of Israel channels, mostly sparklies., 1.2m dish Central Scotland. I was so pleased!

I have not checked 4.0W in detail for a couple of years.

However, the last time I did check it in detail I locked the same frequency from Amos 7 as reported above as locked by "nelson", ie, 11061H, SR4500.
Considering "nelson" is a couple of hundred miles further North he has done very well to lock the frequency, especially at 6.2dB.

The frequency of 11061H is a good marker for anyone wishing to try to lock the Middle East frequencies from a UK location.
It has the lowest dB threshold required for a lock for the Middle East frequencies and it seemed to be the strongest signal of them when I last checked it.

A summary table of my scan of 4.0W from a couple of years ago using a Precision 2.0m dish is attached below.
Please note that the table contains Middle East frequencies from both Amos 3 and Amos 7. At the time of scanning the satellite I did not split them.
Red font in the table indicates the signal was present but below the level required to lock it.

Thanks for the Chart M.B -

Level on 11061H, SR4500. is around 3.0 db when i looked just now .... skies are very clear here today ... will see what its like again tonight when it seems to be stronger ... although i suspect that like those weak eastern Sat beams that i,v looked at recently - the limit has been reached. :-)

11.474 V pretty powerfull today here, up to 6 dB with 2.4m.
11.542 H even more, up to 11 dB.

I assume this is AMOS 3 @ 3.9W ... two feeds currently turned on.

You're right. If I optimize to 11177 H, the other AMOS 7 programs are very bad
