Its been an eventful few days.

Yesterday one of the power blocks on my nice second hand 22" LG Flatron monitors blew & popped the mains circuit rcd overnight. A good excuse to buy a new 24" monitor I might have a suitable powerblock lying around in one of the boxes as the monitor is too good to chuck out. So I had to go and root out one of the old 17" square monitors from the garage.

Today my new fttc router popped through the postbox, and we gained no speed increase from it whatsoever! So Plusnet are on the case.

Its been a frustrating few days - first one of my monitors blew, then the brand new fttc router went wrong, now the washing machine has packed up!

Interesting though the Openreach engineer who was sent out to test the line told me that ftt premises is being rolled out round here - Kelso is being wired atm. Yes please

Their DDOS protection site Cloudflare have been having problems all day - Ive had staff & pupils complaining all day that many web sites have been unavailable, all with Cloudflare error pages..

FR24 was indeed being ddosed the other day. Rumour suggests it was one of the interested parties involved in supporting Armenia & Azerbaijahn in the current spat over Nagorno Karabach

The problem is those DDOS attack tools are freely available on-line and can be set up by anyone who has a grudge
