Also a newly discovered JSC mux around 4045H 27500

..but can only get frozen snaps through TS reader..
There are 5 channels in the mux ..
all currently fta ..but the video doesn't run using the TBS card ..
I'll have to try scanning it into the F15

yes i can confirm that the signals are the best i,v seen from this sat --
a blind search with the vantage brings in 11 channels -- the JSC mux is the weakest signal -
but is still very good here --

Hi Nelson ..thanks for confirming ..
What does the vantage report the centre freqency of the JSC mux to be ?
The F15 skips this completely during a blind scan ..yet the TBS can lock the occasional frozen image ..
Most odd considering the F15 is higher gain ..
I'll try a manual scan of the frequency ..in case the F15 is just skipping it ..

After much trying ..I can't force the F15 to remain locked long enough to scan the mux ..
I get wild fluctuations from 1.2 db ..to 4.4db ...so obviously I'm borderline on this fringe footprint ..
I'll keep trying as it might be cyclic ..having a peak point in 24 hours..
Odd that the TBS will sort of lock it ..but the F15 wont.

btw m8 ..got your message ..and yes the manual and remote are exactly where they were the day it was left here ;)

hi just had another look here -
and the JSC channels have a slightly stronger signal than - TV de Mauritanie - this morning for me ,
so i think it is cyclic - as it used to be at this sat position - but just much stronger generally .

I agree signal strength on this transponder/mux has literally doubled overnight ..
Am convinced even more now... that we are looking at 5C
..and that its a burn in ..or power up we are witnessing ..
If the sig drops off again tonight ..I'll have a re-think ..
We will just have to wait n see..

Hi Friends ..had to try and see if it was possible to lock anything on the TD110 from the JSC mux ...with the much increased signal level ..
Using the F15
Keep in mind that the TD110 LNB is mounted 5.5 degrees off centre ..but still managed a brief lock ..
Intermittent ..but possible ..so I do belive this would be lockable with the lnb at the focus..

Further testing ..with the F15 and the TD110 offset CbandLNB reveals a level of over 4 db neccessary to lock ..resulting in no picture ..but fragmented bursts of audio..
at 4.5 db occasional pictures and full audio..
At 5db (tested on the alcoa) ...solid lock pictures and sound..
