I have just intercepted the two telemetry signals (11197,00 LHCP and 11202,50 RHCP), around 41°E... it should be remembered that the satellite is not yet in geostationary orbit, but in elliptical orbit, so it does not have a specific position.

@satelliclub

OK knock off the fake news. You should know better than posting ridiculous "breaking news" stories about satellites. We have explained over & over again that the tracking sites are unreliable for any number of reasons. If you want a reliable source of where the moving satellites are our collegue @Marcus_21 kindly finds out for us. Please dont do it again.

From the latest checks of the telemetry signals (11197,00 LHCP and 11202,50 RHCP), it seems that it has reached geostationary orbit around 27°E... I will carry out further checks in the next few hours....

After all the checks carried out in the last few hours, I can confirm that it is around 27°E.
For now the TLEs are not correct, they report it in the wrong location.

These are the telemetry signals:

Badr-8 is designed to replace and expand Arabsat’s C-band and Ku-band capacity across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and central Asia over its 15-year design life.

Without wishing to interpret Badr-8's map politically, the one posted by William-1, the coverage on the western side of Europe seems to favor the area most sought after by immigrants from Africa and the Middle East.
When you think how hard it is to get a useful signal from the MENA spot! It's a good thing there are such gateways for those in Europe who want to receive from that part of the continent.
Of course, my subjective observation is off-topic. It can be deleted if it is considered as such.

BADR-8 will also include the innovative Airbus developed TELEO optical communications payload demonstrator. This payload will enable very high capacity analogue optical feeder link communications, as part of the development by Airbus of a new generation of optical communications technology in space to be integrated in its future commercial products, which is highly robust against jamming.

Khalid Balkheyour, President/CEO of Arabsat said: “BADR-8 satellite will be joining our Badr-network at Arabsat 26° East hotspot. BADR-8 will carry massive satellite transponders for satellite TV broadcasting, satellite telecommunications and information exchanging services in Ku-band / C– band that will enhance Arabsat’s satellite fleet capacities and ensure updated and developed services for years to come,
reinforcing Arabsat leading role in the Middle East for satellite TV broadcasting & satellite telecoms. Arabsat’s investment in BADR-8 will reach about $300 million including launch, insurance and ground infrastructures.”

BADR-8 will carry massive satellite transponders for satellite TV broadcasting,
So my estimate for Badr-8 transponders maybe wrong ?

Maybe Badr-8 has 160 Ku band & 40 C band trandponders o_O

We will have to wait & see.

They switched the width of the telemetry signals at around 200kHz to around 600kHz. The same operation had been carried out on the Hotbird 13F and 13G satellites, which are based on the same platform (Eurostar-Neo). Where during the LEOP phase they used lower bandwidth.

This is further confirmation that it has reached geostationary orbit.

Currently the signals are still in circular polarity....
