Has there been a fair bit of testing taking place again then today?

Well ...been at work for a few hours ..but they tested another pair at the bottom end of the Low band this morning ..around 10952
..and just as I got home they were testing at the frequency I just posted up ..
Chances are I missed a few in between .

10592 is pretty low down the ku band spectrum, I'd have thought they would be coming close to having completed the testing phase shortly.

From what I've managed to observe so far ..
It appears they concentrated on the Hi band first ...and the Lo band started today ..
so not long now till testing is complete I'd guess..

That was a typo by the way ..
Should have read 10952 not 10592..

I thought 10592 was a bit low for the ku band. Your probably right there, I wonder if they'll do a sort of power load test with as many transponders active concurrently prior to test completion?

strs65 - where abouts in Greece are you? I'm sure I read from one of your posts your on Crete?

I'm off to Crete later on in the Month, to Agios Nikolaos. Never been to Crete before so looking forward to it, funnily enough it's not long after the BBC shift their remaining services from their 2A TP so guess if the hotel did have it on their distribution system they may not when I arrive!! What size dishes do you use for 2D over there, 2.4m?

They do seem to be testing for quite a while, maybe Astrium (who manufactured the satellite) insist on it being fully load tested under every condition which they won't be able to do at 28.2E with the spectrum being in use? Just a guess.

This mornings test pair Transponders are @ 11112 H and V ...
I'd already worked out that they were progressing from low frequency low band upwards to the switch band switch point so was ready for them ..
Here is a sequence ..
Hope they come out in the correct order ...but it clearly shows the test evolution of clean carrier ie Halo ...through brief QPSK test ..and back to clean carrier Halo..

5-6m! (on some hotels/pubs only of course)

This is one of those installations, a 6.2m east of Heraklion 4-5 years ago...

Sorry VS, tried to re-upload them in the correct sequence and they've got themselves way out of order. Now numbered as 201 through to 212.
