New Launch date for Astra 2G to 28.2°/28.5° East is 29 August 2014
Launch via Proton-M/Briz-M Baikonur 200/39
2G has 64 Ku & 3 Ka transponders & will replace Astra 2A & Eutelsat 28A.
Does that mean Sky News, LBC radio etc, will be migrating around that time to the new satellites?
Would 2G then go to 28.35 as well and join 2E ? Or will the whole bunch meet at 28.2 ?
It will be slotted somewhere around 28.2E but the exact slot is not known as yet - and makes no practical difference here in the UK anyway
Why is 2E then at 28.35 ?
