Unfortunately no-one will know until some brave person tries. If you're really unlucky and are situated right on the null then an even larger dish may be needed.
It may be that even a 2.4m or 3m won't be large enough. Someone has to experiment.
Could it be that we are on the edge of a null and we drift in and out of it several times a day? Or is it due to atmospherics, and a bigger dish will overcome our problems? My thoughts are that we just need bigger dishes, but is it possible to measure what is going on somehow?
