Are you positive you turned the knob the right way - can't recall the last time I used mine, but I seem to recall it's counterintuitive.

Tighten bolts incrementally in turn and repeat, rather than just wanging up to full torque in one go - to try and prevent anything going out of kilter.

There are lots of ITV HD stations available, on 28.2E, have you got a different satellite receiver, you can test, rather than the freesat receiver?
You might also want to check for any updates, for your receiver.

I did turn the signal meter the right way. Here to believe the signal was maxed out but couldn't do more. I use my remote camera at that point to improve it a bit.

I can turn the stb into non Freesat mode. The ITV hd does seem to lock more often that not so I'll try it like this for a bit and monitor.

If you ever check in on the forum, how did it all go over time ? Am back in 06 France, would be interesting to read about reception further south, with apparently the same dish as I've got.

Just checked in. I don't use the dish too often but it is going ok. We were away and I think the wind rotated the dish a small enough amount to lose signal so I have to re-aim it.

Up here, the evening signal drop makes these go away:
11023 H (BBC 4 HD)
11068 V \ 11053 H (ITV HD's)
Very marginal in evenings:
12382 H (dmax\quest\travel)

Overall it's all good, a 6 h\day loss of a few transponders does not give any urge to spend lots on some bigger dish.

I often lose 11053 H in the evening as well as 12 382 H. All other transponders comes in 24/7 even in bad weather. 12 129 V has been pretty weak for about a month but seems to be back at normal strength around 9 dB now.

Quest and ITV hd and some cooking channels are often marginal or don't show. I thought my dish had moved but maybe the receiver just blipped because it is working. Maybe it moved a little but I don't have a way to precisely monitor levels.

Just in case, the quality of the tuner is important, an example.
The tuner of the VU+DUO2 has to have a very good signal with those 2 TP / frequencies.
The new DVB-S2X tuner has no problems with those same channels when 11053 has no signal and 12382 pixels.

2 hours ago I had no signal to be below the threshold of the VU+DUO2, perfect with VU+Ultimo4K. Fixed Giberrtini 125cm, Madrid (Spain).
Now with some noise in the image (marked in red) in 11053, the whole week blind in the searches of channels (974) and again blind.

For ITV HD there's alternatives you guys should try, like at 11068V, over here I have much better signal than 11053, even when raining.
Also for Quest, Quest HD is at 11426V much more stronger than 12382H
12382 is very marginal here in the mornings but good enough after 16:00H till dawn.
