I do not think we have something to argue about. I think we are simply chatting here, expressing personal opinions and on the way also learning.
And, BTW, what do you mean by Just kidding

.........I have a drawer full of LNBs I've tried and rejected in favour of something else.

My drawer count is 29 of them ( some bought, some given and all tested) but am seeing Huevos soon to increase that by two more ***!!!

Funny thing this hobby.......love it and the LNB sagas. :D

That's brilliant - not just true of Spanish bureaucracy, though

Steve Steve, your comments and general flaming tickle my nerves. I completely agree with what Rimant says as I said the exact same thing before elsewhere. Just system combination X works better for you, doesn't mean that it will work just as well than system combination Y for someone else in a totally different situations.

Some people (you know who you are) are just far too 'opinionated' for their own good...

Huevoes [...]say what you really think
1) This is the Iberia thread. What works on a mini dish in Belgium is irrelevant.

2) What works in Iberia for Astra 2E/2F has no relationship with what works on 5W in the Baltics.

3) What works is not a matter of opinion. It is fact and facts are immutable. Yes X lnb may work well with Y dish but that is fact. Anyone who thinks all this is about opinion is not doing proper scientific tests, and just polluting the good input from people who are.

4) In Iberia the biggest single problem affecting 2E reception is keeping Badr5 signals from interfering. So no test done outside this region will have any baring on what works here. Isn't that the whole reason there are individual threads for the different regions?

Not really: The primary reason for the structure was for ease of Collation and Moderation.

But we will, of course, take appropriate action if necessary to create new Topics (But any Member can do that of their own volition, in any case) and to remove Posts that overstep the mark.

Subsequent to my previous advisory Post, I've now been obliged to remove Posts that are not helpful.

I trust it won't become necessary to close the Thread and that future Posts will do no more than further the otherwise useful discussion.

We do prefer it if contributors don't attempt their own Moderation - That's what the Staff are for. And the "Report" button. Better still if matters requiring intervention don't arise in the first place.

Actually, upon reflection, this 41 page long Thread is getting stale - It being some months since 2E came into operation and there being an increasing divergence into other strands of debate - so I am Closing it to encourage Members to take the opportunity to start separate valid Topics on specific issues.

I'll leave this Thread "Sticky" for now, so that the information in it can be consulted relatively easily.
