Somehow I don't think Ka band will be used much for tv. It seems far too unreliable. I certainly hope Viasat doesnt move to 9e and I don't see why it would.

I would think if Viasat used it it would be for a few extra services. I doubt there would be enough bandwidth to move everything and abandon Astra.

also Italy rai will be move 9b

It's highly unlikely that the Rai will move some of the channels to 9e.

Rai is on 13e since the mid 90s and 90% of the dishes are pointed exclusively on Hotbirds in Italy.

I suspect the risk reduction efforts have been considerable!

That said, I've not tempted fate by creating an "on-hold" Topic for Testing just yet :unsure

Getting errors in the picture on the HD feed on Astra 1.

11627 V 22000 8PSK 2/3 DVB-S2

It's not signal break up, I think its their end.

Some additional info about launch will be posted on the russian "cosmonautics news" forum, as usual: novosti-kosmonavtiki.ru/forum/forum12/topic13307/?PAGEN_1=4
Some of the users are from Baikonur cosmodrome. They always post an info about rocket stage separations and satellite separations from RB "Breeze".

Anyone found betting odds for this launch with variabilities ( no ignition, lift off but nose dived, failed seperation, did not reach orbit or success )
Tried the UK betting sites ( ladbrokes , coral and paddypower ) but could not find answer.

Just for fun and pass the time to :-toilet
