I guess the fate of 1H is the key to this whole story.
Looking at the footprint of 1H, could it operate at 31.5E ?
I think so as covers the spectrum 1G is currently using, think AS is the best to advise.
1G is looking pretty well loaded with a lot of TP's illuminated, according to Wikipedia she had 8 TP's illuminated in July 2010 and I think counting on Kingofsat we're up to 18 now so with her being 16yrs old (on Dec 2nd) past her working life they are probably a bit twitchy. There's comments in Wikipedia about 1G having power issues with 20TP's max available.
5B would have been launched by now but that's been delayed by it's accompanied passenger until the new year.
