Don't forget that 2E is supposed to provide internet services as well. It's not only TV.

Wow - are those control knobs the same as on the famous T1154 transmitters? They certainly look familiar....

Didn't Marconi also make the famous T1154 TX (used in RAF bombers etc)?

Not too sure - I thought various companies made them - there certainly were several different models produced - I had one in my youth in which we modded the coil pack in the yellow band which we then used as a pirate radio station in the 1960s! - great fun but a bit off topic......

If 1H still keeps the same speed two good images one hour apart will show any
movement. One hour will translate to 84 arcseconds of movement and the resolution
of the camera is 4-8 arcseconds using a longer tele-lens. The chances of clear
weather tomorrow evening are good (so far) but don't hold your breath,
I might opt for early christmas celebrations instead. Beer-induced haze is just
as bad as the other variants.

if it does stay there, does that mean anything for us in terms of 2E? (apart from having to change the name of the topic yet again... :D)
i mean, surely 1H can not stay permanently at this position...?

If I'm putting money on it, my next guess would be 23.5E as 3B is serving this slot solo at present with no backup. Might be wrong though, let's wait and see.

It's the most likely scenario right now. 1H cannot be used as a DTH satellite anymore so they can only use it to offer SNG capacity. There are lots of SNG feeds via 23.5E... and free bandwidth.
