No, still there. Another test at 11980V

In any case, unless the beacon at 12493H/V is gone, we are pretty sure 2E is still at 43.5E.

I'll create a General Discussion (Post-Testing) Thread and a bunch of Regional Reports Threads.

The latter will be open for use as of now, but the others remain on-hold until she fires up in anger.

they (SES/ASTRA) don't seem to be in any particular hurry to get this shiny new bird into service (and earning money) do they? what the usual length of time for testing a new bird? or is it different due to numbers of txp,s, Ku,C,Ka , number of footprints ect ect

Eutelsat Ka Sat took 6 months :D

Typically for a normal Ku band bird it is about 6-8 weeks.

If we go off Astra 2F's testing period then by the end of this week we should expect the completion of testing and the beginning of the move. Obviously, this is a different, but spec-wise similar, satellite.

The testing schedule would be dictated by commercial pressures. It must be expensive to do it quickly.

Yes, it would help to know what is going on in KA band, it maybe possible soon. I hope so!
