I also have the controller but the cables were cut when it was removed from the van and I can't find any info on the connections. I had it moving using the PSU that's sitting on the frame. Elevation was fine, azimuth OK as far as I could move it without it toppling over. It's quite impressive when it unfolds. There are 2 nice absolute encoders fitted but data on them is elusive. The feed has rotation for skew. It cost peanuts but a fortune to ship, it's a 4 person lift.
SE UK is a bit elusive, but I'm interested (as well).

The SNG dish is very much a project and I have too many of those started so it needs another home really. Once I've found the other pics etc, I'll post something in the for sale section. Bear in mind it is a big, heavy, thing but if anyone wants a challenge and is seriously interested, please send me a PM.

I found the controller for the SNG kit. It doesn't do much without being connected to the dish etc. If anyone has any info on the Sat-Comm ACS3000A controller connections, of which there are a lot, please let me know. I have the Garmin GPS that goes with it but don't know how to connect it.

When switched on it displays its version number, GPS Error and panic.

Manual for those replacing the ASC boxes, so connection layout would be the same.

Ignore the above message, it is for the Andrews outdoor unit replacement.

If you can take a picture of the rear panel and any sticker I may find a clone of it online

Dual axis motorised 2.4m setup (Chelmsford).
Possibly a Prodelin 1244 reflector?
Venture jack & 9" slew drive & probably a Satsio tracking controller ODU. Yes, looks like a 1244 and it definitely looks like a Prodelin/CPI feed on the skew drive.
S3Sat closed in March 2022 with limited support but it now looks like they sold the IP and support to dB Broadcast. Satsio / Fiesta - dB Broadcast

I'm looking for a 3244 dish face and arms if anyone has one in the shed.

It doesn't look all that old either...superb kit, strictly not for tyre kickers..

Deffo not one for the two bob merchants and dreamers.

Considering it did not sell when previously listed on eBay the seller might consider offers of less than three bags of sand?
It will have cost a fair bit more than three bags when originally purchased new.

Serious kit with a serious price tag.

Ooops.

Dish Focus - Prime Focus

Odd that any feedback in the past 12 months is missing

It is not a Rx system btw, a bit more info on the front end may be prudent to cover costs.

Could the BCU and existing feed assembly be replaced with a single or OMT Rx feed to use the dish for Rx?
Or would it require a change of the feed boom arm as well?

If Ku is the goal then the existing feed and clamp kit should be fine, but Rx/Tx kit usually comes with the annoying six bolt fitting and a reverse gasket set that will not seal to the usual C120 flange without a bit of lathe work.

This assembly is different to the Ebay one as it has a C120 extender guide for a CM/Andrews feed. It's used with the feed shown minus the OMT and has a different adapter for the boom.

Looking carefully at this pic, from the listing, it has the Prodelin feed inc. OMT which has a WG17 input.

S3_2.4-feed.jpg

I guess that the Ebay one has a straight bit of WG17 guide in place of the C120 shown here. That would match the feed below. There's a flexible waveguide which I presume is attached to the opposite end of the WG17. The round bit on the OMT flange is not a C120 adapter but just a WG17 collar with angle markings.

I've not tried one of the Prodelin OMTs on RX but if it's got the bandwidth, you could probably fit one LNB inside the rotating cage and the other one the right angle port.

The Prodelin Rx/Tx Ku-Band OMT for a model 1244 reflector works OK on Ku-Band as a dual polarity Rx feed.

If machined/drilled to suit.
I don't think it will need that. The Satsio version for Prodelin is likely to have WG17 whereas mine has C120. I can't use the OMT on mine unless I replace the C120 guide with WG17. I've used those Prodelin feeds without an OMT by drilling the holes in the C120 to match the 6 hole Prodelin flange.
@moonbase answered my BW question: the OMT has enough BW for RX on the straight through port.

Of course, check with the seller though.

Can you cover Rx kit needs with the selling of the Tx or is this a venture into the unknown ?
