Mid afternoon photos. The snow has drifted considerably deeper since then. The car would be about up to its axles now if the snow hadnt been scoured out underneath it by the strong winds!
That looks so idyllic, more importantly hows the signal?

It’s snowing down here, nothing settled at the moment.

The wind is so cold.

It's at least 5 jumpers colder in these parts.

Yes, though here we judge factors of coldness by how many peasants we have to throw on the fire...E.G. tonight it's it's a four peasanter....

So as usual there's nothing in the south west. Nothing in S. Wales or Yeovil. I am not missing out on anything then!

No chance of us getting out today.

In addition to further very heavy snowfall, there's a car abandoned outside our house, not blocking the driveway as such, but so close it'll make manoeuvring into the narrow lane unduly difficult.

Well finally, we have a light covering of snow. Luckily, I only have to take the rubbish bag to the top of the drive and check on a friends house about a kilometre away.....oh, and collect some more peasants..

Just "wait a bit" and then all your "desires" will be answered - about 8" of it later today if the forecasts are to be believed :-rofl2
PS: my direct delivery service copy of The Times didn't arrive yesterday or today - in West London (whereas the locally delivered Mail for SWMBO came on time both days).

Not a chance. By the time I am back home, whatever has fallen will have melted into the abyss...

Official snow depth outside is "virtually up to the top of my wellies"! The drifts are much deeper - about waist deep just around the house.

Glasgow,ish!
Had to take the bin out this morning, the top of the wheelie bin had a perfect shape of snow onto of it, 15 inch deep I'd say without exaggeration, backdoor must be the same as it was untouched so when I waded through it has stuck onto my jammie bottoms, perfect powder it is, dig out the snowboard weather.

Sounds like time to dig a nice comfortable hollow in the snow, so out of the wind, and sit down to a nice cup of coffee - dressed in shorts, of course:)
