Will not change their biased view on the world though, journalism/media reporting today tends to be, rather than reporting the facts and let the viewer decide, they give you their own slanted interpretation of certain facts with key information ommitted leaving the viewer with little or no knowledge of the actual truth. #journalismisdead

It may have been - conveniently - end of season, but some content that would be a junction between older and younger generation (eg Click) is now only on iPlayer.

On FreeView, BBC Parliament has been a carbon copy of BBC News in the past week.

'Royal corresondent' Witchell out to pasture would cover a few worth their pay grade.
The Coronation is just around the corner, enough chicken so the cock is surplus to requirement.

From friday onwards the web address on BBC News UK Astra 2 has changed to bbc.com instead of bbc.co.uk . I suppose it doesn't matter since the website redirects to the correct version anyway.

it seems they just merged the 2 BBCnews,(home & world) ,into a single one & no more running news in the bottom white rectangle....
so why do they keep it?
Or is this a Beta version?
the "mature " one would come after Coronation...

Yes, confirmed by the programme links such as Click (which has been shifted to a 'mumble around in the small hours' slot)

About the only programme I might have actively watched on a weekend,

Some examples to support your strong opinion of what most others consider an impartial style of reporting would be nice ...

Right,I now know what a ULEZ is... terrible news.
ok we have ULEZ in France too, seems like a european trend,to lower pollution, and, yes there 's a lot to be discussed .
Main idea being,"ulez" compatible cars are too expensive, the only way forward would be cheaper and better public transport, and liberalism proposes "profit making" transport, expensive & low quality....like uk trains!
Arte TV had a debate on this yesterday evening .
here is the link... english subtitles, hopefully available 27 - Faut-il privatiser les transports en commun ? - Regarder l’émission complète | ARTE

It seems the Italians got the best solution, the rail infrastructure stays "public";when you run a train ,you pay them, like on a toll motorway. The number of trains doubled over 10 years & fares are halved...
More trains,cheaper fares,a Greater-Londoner's dream!

This debate covers trains,NOT e-scooters or ULEZ. But it does give some useful keys.
Apart from this, the rest is political haggling.
Are there e-scooters in London now? Another fun debate!

and what "better" sources of news are you proposing?
Although this is the wrong forum for this discussion, I must say that we satellite nerds are best equipped of anybody to receive balanced news reporting from many different countries and then form our own opinion. It is the job of news journalists to report the facts and provoke discussion to uncover all aspects of a story - I personally think the BBC does this very well, at least as well as the German, French and Italian news channels that I consume.
That said, it is easier than ever nowadays to 'clip up and post' an abridged version of someone's research, presenting a biased opinion of what was said to suit ones own purpose. In this case, the presenter said: “Local protesters and mainstream politicians were joined by conspiracy theorists and far right groups.” Exactly: "joined by" .... and this happens with many perfectly acceptable and legal marches and demonstrations around the world. In my opinion, this report appears to have been, shall we say, 'twisted' by GB News - a news channel not known for its neutral political stance - to take a shot at the competition.
Swing that dish and take time to find out how impartial BBC reporting actually is, or not!
Getting back to the main subject, I think it is a welcome cash-saving measure to combine the Beeb's news channels. They are monsters with a large appetite that must be continually fed, which takes up enormous resources and significant investment 24/7/365. Good decision, in my opinion.

It's amusing, if not perverse, to use GB News as a source to show the BBC's partiality. The headline is "BBC claims anyone who doesn't back Sadiq Khan's ULEZ is 'far right' and a 'conspiracy theorist' " but reading the body of the report it can clearly be seen that the BBC report said that "Local protesters and mainstream politicians were joined by conspiracy theorists and far right groups.”. Note that it does not say that the protesters and mainstream politicians were all right wing.

@Blackeye
I quite agree with you,and I enjoy very much being able to access various sources of news & commentary.
Some Spanish channels have interesting views too.
Germans are very good at defending consumers .
Too bad Scandinavia encrypts its stuff, and is absent from our view.
It's been very advanced in many subjects, but not willing to share its thoughts.

@PaulR
ULEZ is all over Europe, have a look at Spain!!!!
and Germany and.... about everywhere, maybe not in Ukraine or Albania ,right!!
So,it isn t London's mayor (and the ULEZ map was designed under B.Johnson)
It's a developed world issue more than a "London" one!!

The part of the Elon Musk interview that was strangely missing from the BBC offerings.

Misleading and incompetent.

Elon Musk loves Trump and seems to hate the rest of the developed world, including public radio & tv...
I won't buy or use his stuff for sure!
Then ,like Thomas Alva Edison,he s good at promoting technological progress. In that way,a veryuseful character for humanity,a great inventor, innovator. But not nice to have for lunch or dinner.
There hasn 't been a film ,book, musical, game about Edison for a long time. He used to be a star of US history when I was a kid.
Will E.Musk follow the same pattern?
