The tadpoles are doing fine in the pond so this year is going to be a croaker.

It is a bit strange really as they are both tethered which I would have thought was illegal

Ahhh yah it's getting warmer, now i don't have to heat the water in the mote, the alligators are moving mush faster as the water heats up via some nice warm Sun light. This will cut down on the fuel bills. I will now have to invite some more door to door salesmen to keep them fed.

Late yesterday afternoon we spotted the Common French Tip Up Manure Trailer. With typical Gallic flair, the driver began to empty his trailer, drove down the field with the trailer raised and neatly brought down our neighbours electricity supply cable....

Hit 21°C here yesterday, predicted to be about the same today, so, I'm defrosting some chicken wings, dragging out the barbecue, doing some mowing, then cooking said wings, because warm weather is barbecue weather...

Mowing 78% completed, got too hot & bothered to complete the job, so will finish tomorrow, probably, or maybe monday, so cooked up my chicken wings and have devoured them, and kind of wishing I cooked a banana on the barbecue too for a dessert, but oh well, next time, if I remember...

Took the family to Shoreham today, much hotter in the direct sun than I would have liked.

I took a large collecting magnet on a piece of washing line and spent a couple of hours fishing for magnetite and similar at high tide. I got four largeish items (and lots of smaller bits), one of which is brown and highly ferrous. One is a mid-grey and the other two look very much like chips off the man made beach breaks.20190420_172804.jpg20190420_172829.jpg20190420_172856.jpg20190420_172909.jpg

Ah yes. I must plan what is to be sown upstairs. The broad beans last year weren't exactly spectacular, I blame the aphids myself, though the ladybirds got a good feed off them.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!
No "relaxation" for me today - spent several hours replacing a droplink on the front of the car (did the other one yesterday - that was one of the reasons it failed the MoT a few days ago ). Right pig of a job as I had to cut off both the balljoints on each link with angle grinders (big one, and that little 12V Lidl one I got last year, and very useful it was too!) in very confined spaces because all the nuts were seized solid. And then remove, lubricate back of, and then replace the brake pads - a rivet on the back of which protruded too far and caused screechs at low speeds ( I could see the witness marks on the back of that rivet!)

What a filthy job on a lovely warm day like this - and I was filthly as well after all that.

More and more cars these days have done away with roll bars and drop links - I was quite surprised when exchanging our previous Punto Grande for a new one that various bits seemed to be missing!
