In my neck of the woods, we've been having an unusually long spell of mild to warm (upper teen to mid 20's degrees), dry & mostly sunny weather in that the last recorded rain was just after midnight on Sunday 20th May, almost three weeks ago! I'm struggling to remember such a prolonged dry spell of weather here, usually going a week without any rain is a bit odd let alone three in succession! You'd definitely know it's a dry spell with the farmers cutting pretty much every blade of grass growing in the fields to build up silage supplies, and then spreading the slurry on not long afterwards! And that was over two weeks ago!
The weather forecast for later today (Saturday 10 June) is giving a small chance of rain in late afternoon/early evening, with chances of thunderstorms at the start of next week - the aforementioned farmers will definitely be looking for rain soon!
And knowing my/our luck, the rest of June along with July & August will end up becoming washouts!
