I am in the market for a satallite system and have noticed on some sites they offer a receiver at x amount and offer it at x amount extra for the same receiver but "fully loaded" could someone please tell me what "fully loaded" is about as a newbie to this hobby it is starting to get very confusing and I haven't even bought anything yet thanks.

Haven't seen this terminology before. Could mean anything, but no point in speculating.
Can you please give us the link to the shop and the system so that we can understand better what they mean.
Just make sure you deactivate the URL link with something like
_http://www.website.com

Lots of receivers these days are computers running variants of Linux and so it is possible to change the way they operate by loading different firmware which may, for example, allow them to decode some encrypted channels for which a subscription is normally necessary. You'll see on this site mentions of Dreamboxes and what image can be loaded which amounts to the same thing. Things are changing quickly and quite a few channels that have been viewable have recently gone secure so be careful about paying extra for something that may not last. There are lots of threads here on what to buy to get started.

OK. Seen it.
It is just a service whereby you get a receiver with all the satellites and channels loaded (programmed) so that you don't need to do it yourself, if you are going to use a motor.
I would stick to the basic.

There is hardly anything open these days and the one that is currently open is in the middle of a card swap so will soon be closed

So is there nothing that can be done?

Would it be worth investing in a sat system?

Or do I need to research further?

Decide what you want to see and/or achieve. Then we can give you better advice. Try to be a bit specific as we would all like everything but it's not possible these days.

I would like to receive 19e, 13e, and 1w for movies and HD not interested in football ideally a replacement for sky.

19E and 13E are just about shut out now, and theres not much English language content in the clear.

1W will go black soon, so you can forget free movies/sport on there in a couple of months.

If you are looking for an alternative to sky then you need to be looking at a foreign subscription package - and if you need to buy one in the UK its going to be FAR more expensive than a sky subs.

So it would not be worth my while getting a new sat setup then or is there a workaround?

I pick up a few HD channels (unencrypted) on my Technomate 6800. This includes ITV HD which is really only available on Freesat. Sky's offering on HD is superior to most (apart from ITV). 13E and 9E have mature content channels but you need to subscribe and as Analoguesat says foreign subs for films etc are costly. Difficult one for you but I'm like many people in the hobby, getting the channel is more important than the content.

For most of us the additional free channels provided by a multisat setup are a bit of fun. Anything thats temporarily open are a bit of a bonus.

One of my personal favourite channels is the national Kazakstan news and documentary channel Caspionet, but its never going to be a mainstream entertainment channel.....

If you want shed loads of English language entertainment and sports action then stick to sky, unless you want to spend a LOT of money.

Plenty of FTA channels on Hot Bird 13E in Italian, German, French, Polish, Arabic, etc.
A good start for the kids to become multilingual.
If you want English only, then stay with Sky or consider FreeSat on Astra 28.2E

Is this definate? I can't find out any information anywhere else. Are they shutting down the channels or changing the encryption?

Cheers

As stated in various places they are in the middle of a card swap, hence better encryption hence no free viewing.

A number of FTA channels on the main satellites have films in the daytime and evening (in English). You will have to find the channel listings however, teletext is a good thing, and ignore the subtitles in other languages.
