Guys,

I am really confused and really need your some help as I'm tearing the little hair I got left on my head.

I have a dish pointing to 13.0e (hotbird) and each time I do a channel search on my dm500 it fails to pick up the TV channel (walf) on frequency 11938h/27500. I know this channel exist and five of my friends who also have a satelite dish pointing hotbird 13.0e but own different boxes mainly technomate can pick this channela and are able to watch this channel using the same Viaaccess card I have.

I took my dreambox to their houses and did a channel search but fail pick up the channel at al five houses.

The channel is definitely listed on both the pli jade software built baclk on 28 December 2009 and the latest openly night built a few days ago.

Can someone please please help as I have a £100 viaaccess card I am unable to watch at home

Many thanks

Ps I use pli jade

It's not on Hotbird now I don't think; but it is on 9e at 11938 H 27500.

Guys I live in UK.

Can someone with a dreambox and eurobird 9.0e confirm if they are getting walfTV 11938h/27550? I know is a paid channel - paid £100 for it and still no luck getting the channel even when I took my dm500 to a friend's house a did a search on his eurobird 9.0 dish.

I get all the channels on 9.0e but not the walf TV channel.

Can someone please help. As posted before my friends with technomate boxes can get this channel on eurobird 9.0e but if not happening for me on two different dm500 boxes.

PS - I got a satelite guy coming to fix the eurobird dish for me this weekend and just wanted to make sure that it will definitely come on the dm500.

Many Thanks

Hi,

Can confirm that I'm receiving that transponder with your scrambled Walf TV at 92S/90Q. May be an issue with the Dreambox if you are having the same problem with two different boxes or possibly your viewing card. Have you tried your card in a friends Technomate to eliminate whether you card is faulty?

As per your other Thread, you are entering an incorrect Symbol Rate: It is 27500, not 27550

Also on that Transponder, once you've corrected the Symbol Rate, is TV Neth Lanka FTA, so you will be able to prove reception. Whether or not the decryption works for Walf is then for you to determine.

Check your symbol rate mate. it's 27500 instead of that number you got there. and leave the FEC to AUTO if you not sure. THen rescan. there is no reason that channel shouldn't appear :)

Thanks guys meant to type 27500 and not 27750. I am getting all the other FTA channels on eurobird 9.0e though.

I have tried my walf card at may friend's house and it's working perfectly fine on his technomate' The problem is definitely no the walf card as it works else where. I just can't simply pick up the channel on my dm500.

Can someone please do a search for me and see if they can find the channel? I am really desperate and don't want to use any other box.

As said before the other channels on eurobird were locked and found.

The only other thing I can think of is that my friend has a single lnb which is connected to two satelite dish. One for eutelsat 7.0e and the other for eurobird 9.0e. Now is it possible that my dm500 settings are wrong that I have maybe choosen the wrong diseq. If that's the case I wouldn't have expected to found any other channels on eurobird 9.0e.

Its definitely there. Screen shot from my DB7020 - although with no card I cant watch it of course.

One thing to watch - there are a couple of frequencies where almost the same channel are carried on both 9E and 13E.

However, what do you get if you scan 11825H 27500 3/4?? If its some fta Chinese channels you have 9E. If its some scrambled Greek channels its 13E

That's great news. Are you saying that you can see both channels on hotbird 13.0e as well as eurobird 9.0e on your dreambox 7020? Don't worry if it's scrambled as I already have a viaaccess card

Walf TV was on hotbird 13.0e and have now moved to eurobird 9.0e. What makes it more confusing is that some of my friends can still watch the channel on hotbird 13.0e whilst others can't and they all have the same technomate box. Ideally I would like to get this channel on hotbird 13.0e as there are more channels on the sat position. But with the amount of hassle I have had with this channel I will be please to get it on any other channel namingly eurobird 9.0e

Many Thanks in advance

Ive just double checked and Walf is not carried on Hotbird any longer so your friends cannot possibly be watching it off 13E.

That screen grab is for 9E. (I know its labelled as 10E - thats only because I get everything from 9 & 10E off one dish and it got too complicated trying to keep them seperate!)

You can get special 4 degree monoblock lnb's so you can have 13E and 9E channels on the one box although you might want to think about getting an expert in to set it up for you - they are a bit tricky get get going if you dont know what you are doing..

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to check this for me.

So I can go ahead and book the installer to install 9.0e for me as I should definitely be able to pick it on my dm500?

For your information I intend to use only 1 lnb for this box. So I should i set my disesq on my dm500?
