The only other thing left is the Nissan Qashqaiqwey...

My neighbour has one of those and it does look very similar, well apart from the excessiv chrome trim around the windows.

Perhaps Rima has added some foil

@ "everybody" - an opportunity to "re-enter" this thread as I am now, finally (hopefully!??), going to get a system installed (biggest issue was finding someone who could install the "high-up" cameras for the PoE system that I want, but I think I have now found a guy who can do that) , but this has prompted the following "comment" and questions:

"Comment"
@RimaNTSS:
A very recent article in the major UK consumer protection organisation WHICH magasine (also called "WHICH") about "really cheap" wifi cameras that come from Shenzen in China (and are widely sold on Amazon, etc!): basically, most of them are "white box" products that are sold under multiple "brand names" with absolutely "SFA" backup tech support, and, most importantly, multiple unsecured "backdoors" into "your" LAN systems that are then open to spying/hacking or "whatever"!!

WHICH has a China-based investigator, which they trust, and who tried to find more about these suppliers and their products - but met "brickwalls" everywhere :(

Thus I, personally, would not go anywhere near CCTV products like that!

Question:
@
"everybody":
Has anyone had any "experience" with UHD kit sold under the "Reolink" brand (Chinese-based but with, so far, reasonably favourable reviews on Amazon, etc. and their tech support has responded very quickly and mostly sensibly to my questions over the last few days)?

Not Reolink, but I've purchased a small number of outdoor cameras in the past year, both standalone and integrated with a PVR.
eBay and Amazon has almost identical offerings in the stick grenade/dome and PTZ varieties , all looking virtually identical apart from one (branded Floureon) which is somewhat more plastic than metal, but looks positively space age compared to the others.

Pricing is virtually identical, as is the discrete packaging they arrive in, a brown box with a single label that has Made in China with a huge barcode , and always shipped by Royal Mail tracked 48 no signature.

The two times I have required assistance I have a 24 hour wait for a response first time round which is of no help whatsoever, then the offer of a replacement at a discounted rate, or partial refund.

No problem. But for your diligence I can look for another LNBF or couple and send them to you for a same price, namely 5 EUR. :cool: (shipping included)
