Channel 5 missing !!

Channel 5 is missing here in Egypt ! any one know if it has changed transponders?

After a bit more playing I have found I am not getting transponder 2B North any more. Could some one do a search on 12.304 H and let me know it it is still there?

O.K thank you, the dish must be off wack then or a jumbo jet in the way.

go to add channels
search for 12.422 H
add 7505

go to other channels

select 7505


bingo channel FIVE on south beam,,,,

That's good to know. It's been a bit strange, the dish has been off wack before and I get break up on some channels but this time I have lost a whole transponder and no break up in any channels, it's there or it isn't. nothing in between. One more question. Is it possible to record a program on "Other channels" with Sky +?

No, a channel has to be in EPG to record, you cannot even do a manual record.

Possibly because we are having signal problems on ch4 sky two three etc which i think is on the north beam,but five is not affected

I have got it all back now but it took quite a bit of tweaking. I think it's because I am so far out side the foot print, it is very touchy. I wish I could find a bigger dish in Egypt.
