How was the result compared to without the feedhorn?
How was the result compared to without the feedhorn?
Fibo SUB has 2 focal points. The phase center of the Fibo feedhorn co-located with one focal point. And the second SUB focal point must be co-located with the antenna's focal point.Where should the sub reflector be installed?
I understand your theory but in practice?Fibo SUB has 2 focal points. The phase center of the Fibo feedhorn co-located with one focal point. And the second SUB focal point must be co-located with the antenna's focal point.
It is your antenna Do not you know where it's focal point is?laminas 180
I think that's where the LNB is!!It is your antenna Do not you know where it's focal point is?
The simplest way IMHO is:in practice?
so the center of the sub will be the center of the LNB cap
or am I wrong!!!
the Fibo feed inside is wavy like any KU feedI see what you are saying but would using the sub reflector remove the need for the conical scaler as the sub reflector is managing the ilumination of the main reflector? I see the original Fibo ku feed is just a conical horn not a corrugated feed horn.
I wonder if C band would also benefit from a dual reflector set up though, even without a full feedhorn.
Mk2 version, everything made more compact..View attachment 156670View attachment 156671
