Dubai channels have been simulcasting New Years coverage again but studio shots only. Moments ago they went to a news update. Say 90% of fire under control but given the type of government there I'd have a grain of salt.

46E and 13E are best ones. Some Georgian also 36E/42E/31.5E but 13 should be enough...

Having some meteorological background, there are some wires crossed here. In English, "hurricane" refers to a tropical cyclone only. So technically, Fish wasn't in the wrong. 1987 storm was an extratropical one, albeit a heavy one and totally a crazy bad - it even exhibited a sting jet, analogous to a storm that caused record gusts in Denmark in 2013. Mainland languages like German have split the word. In German case, Orkan - Hurricane force wind, Hurrikan - Tropical hurricane. Also I understand that the forecast wasn't the most perfect - keep in mind that especially when a sting jet is involved, a slight change in track could mean totally different conditions. LTV1 is showing the main concert "Happy New Year"
LTV7 is showing an old recording of New Year's concert
TV3 is showing a... you guessed it... New Year's concert.

Ok, I seem to receive Armenia with 'Armenia TV' and 'Armenia 1 TV' on 13E, and Azerbaijan with 'AZTV' on 13E. No access to 36E/42E or 31.5E atm...

But of corse everyone's interest is on Dubai, so lets hope someone grabs those channels...
My one channel PVR is nailed to CNN or Sky News during Dubai

Looks like Dubai channels have gone fireworks coverage mode. However at least for now the shot seems to be concentrated on Burj Al-Arab.
